Eevee Heroes Booster Box

Introduction: A Love Letter to Eevee and Its Evolutions

In the pantheon of Pokémon Trading Card Game releases, few sets have captured the hearts of collectors and players quite like the Eevee Heroes Booster Box. Released on May 28, 2021, as part of the Sword & Shield era, this Japanese enhancement expansion pack (set code S6a) stands as a monumental tribute to one of Pokémon’s most beloved families – Eevee and its eight magnificent evolutions. Often hailed as the most legendary out-of-print set of the Sword & Shield era, Eevee Heroes represents a pinnacle of modern Pokémon card collecting that continues to captivate enthusiasts worldwide.

What’s Inside the Eevee Heroes Booster Pack Box

The Eevee Heroes Booster Box arrives in the standard Japanese booster box configuration, containing 30 booster packs, each holding 5 cards for a total of 150 cards per box. Every pack is a mystery waiting to be unraveled, offering the chance to discover cards spanning the full spectrum of rarities – from Commons and Uncommons to the breathtaking Special Art Rares that have made this set legendary.

The box itself is a work of art, featuring vibrant packaging that showcases Umbreon and Sylveon leading the entire Eeveelution family – Jolteon, Flareon, Vaporeon, Espeon, Leafeon, and Glaceon – through a colorful meadow. This bright, modern illustration style perfectly captures the set’s energetic and celebratory tone, making it as stunning on the shelf as it is rewarding to open.

The Complete Eeveelution Experience

What makes Eevee Heroes Booster Box truly special is its singular focus on Eevee and all eight of its evolutions. The set features a complete lineup of Eeveelution V and VMAX cards, including Leafeon V, Flareon V, Vaporeon V, Glaceon V/VMAX, Jolteon V, Espeon V, Sylveon V. Every Eeveelution appears as a powerful Pokémon V card, with some boasting stunning Rainbow Rare variants that shimmer with iridescent beauty.

The set contains a total of 101 cards: 69 main-set cards plus 32 Secret Rares. This generous secret rare count is exceptionally high for a Japanese Pokémon set, offering collectors an extraordinary number of chase cards to pursue. Notably, Eevee Heroes features more full-art and alternative-art cards than any single Pokémon card set before it, setting a new standard for artistic excellence in the TCG.

The Rarity Structure

Understanding the rarity structure of Eevee Heroes Booster Box is essential for any collector. The set is organized across multiple layers:

· Regular Cards (69 cards): The foundational baseline of the set, including Common Pokémon, Trainers, and Energy cards

· Pokémon V: Standard high-rarity slot for main-class Pokémon, available in both Regular and Full Art versions

· Pokémon VMAX: Only four types are included in this booster pack – Umbreon, Sylveon, Glaceon, and Leafeon

· Secret Rare Slot: The crown jewel of the set, featuring Full Art types, Special Illustration types, and high-rarity Trainers

It’s worth noting that the VMAX versions of Espeon, Vaporeon, Flareon, and Jolteon are not included in this booster box; they were released in a separate VMAX Special Set product.

The Crown Jewel: Moonbreon

No discussion of Eevee Heroes Booster Box would be complete without mentioning its most legendary card – the Umbreon VMAX Special Illustration version, universally known as “Moonbreon”. This card depicts Umbreon leaping across a moonlit cityscape, its golden rings glowing against the night sky. The visual presentation is nothing short of breathtaking, evoking a nocturnal atmosphere that has made this card the definitive symbol of the entire set.

Moonbreon has become one of the most valuable modern Pokémon cards in existence, regularly trading in the hundreds of thousands of yen range. With an estimated pull rate of approximately 1 in 36 boxes, securing this card is a truly rare and momentous occasion. PSA 10 graded copies have commanded even higher prices, cementing Moonbreon’s status alongside vintage cards in terms of value and prestige.

The Complete VMAX Special Art Collection

Beyond Moonbreon, Eevee Heroes Booster Box offers a full suite of Eeveelution VMAX Special Art cards that collectively represent one of the most coveted collections in modern Pokémon TCG:

· Sylveon VMAX SA (~¥38,000 / ~$270): Features an enchanting illustration of Sylveon dancing through a field of ribbons and flowers, making it the second-most popular chase after Umbreon

· Glaceon VMAX SA (~¥32,000 / ~$227): Presents the ice-type Eeveelution in a serene winter landscape

· Leafeon VMAX SA (~¥28,000 / ~$199): Depicts Leafeon basking in a lush forest canopy

· Espeon VMAX SA (~¥45,000 / ~$319): Features a stunning cosmic illustration and ranks as the third-most valuable card in the set

· Flareon VMAX, Vaporeon VMAX, Jolteon VMAX SAs (¥15,000–¥22,000 each): The original three Eeveelutions complete the lineup

The complete set of all eight Eeveelution VMAX SAs collectively exceeds ¥350,000 in value, making it one of the most expensive modern card collections to assemble.

Investment Value and Market Performance Of Eevee Heroes Booster Box

Eevee Heroes has proven to be one of the strongest appreciating Pokémon TCG products ever released. Originally priced at approximately ¥5,500 per box at MSRP, sealed boxes now trade at around ¥48,000 ($341) in 2026 – nearly 9 times their original retail price. Some marketplaces have seen boxes listed for significantly higher amounts, with prices reaching ¥150,000 and beyond.

This remarkable appreciation can be attributed to several factors: the immense popularity of Eevee and its evolutions, the set’s release during the peak of the pandemic in 2021, its status as an out-of-print product, and the enduring demand for its chase cards, particularly Moonbreon. The set’s sustained collector demand for both unopened boxes and single cards has created a robust secondary market that shows no signs of cooling.
