Mask of Change

Step into the dynamic world of Pokémon with the Mask of Change expansion, the sixth set in the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Released in Japan on April 26, 2024, this highly anticipated set brings the rich lore and characters of The Teal Mask downloadable content from the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet video games to the TCG for the very first time. Whether you are a seasoned collector, a competitive player, or a passionate fan, Mask of Change offers an immersive and strategic experience that is not to be missed.

A Thematic Journey to the Land of Kitakami

Mask of Change transports players to the historic and mysterious land of Kitakami, the setting of The Teal Mask DLC. The set revolves around the legendary Pokémon Ogerpon, a captivating new Pokémon that can don different masks to change her type and abilities. This central mechanic is masterfully translated into the card game, offering a fresh and versatile battle experience.

The expansion features four distinct Ogerpon ex cards, each representing a different mask and elemental type:

· Teal Mask Ogerpon ex (Grass-type)

· Hearthflame Mask Ogerpon ex (Fire-type)

· Wellspring Mask Ogerpon ex (Water-type)

· Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon ex

Each of these powerful Basic Tera Pokémon ex cards boasts an impressive 210 HP and comes with unique attacks and abilities that reflect their mask’s elemental power. This innovative mechanic allows for dynamic and unpredictable battles, as players can adapt their strategies by leveraging the different forms of Ogerpon.

A Stunning and Comprehensive Card Collection

The Mask Of Change Pack set contains a total of 133 cards, comprising 101 cards in the main set and 32 secret rare cards. Beyond Ogerpon, the set introduces a host of other exciting Pokémon and characters from the Kitakami region. Trainers will find cards for beloved Pokémon like Poltchageist, Sinistcha, Applin, Dipplin, Dragapult ex, Greninja, Varoom, Alakazam, Chansey, Milotic, Luxray ex, and Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex.

The set also introduces key Trainer cards, including Perrin, Kieran, and Carmine, adding depth to deck-building strategies. Furthermore, Mask of Change continues the inclusion of Terastal Pokémon and powerful ACE SPEC cards, making it a must-have for competitive play. Collectors will also be thrilled by the range of rarities available, including Art Rare (AR), Super Rare (SR), and Special Art Rare (SAR) cards, featuring stunning special illustration art of all four Ogerpon masks, Kieran, and Carmine.

Choose Your Format

The Mask Of Change Pack expansion is available in several formats to suit every type of collector and player:

· Booster Packs: Each pack contains 5 random cards from the set. This is the perfect way to experience the thrill of the hunt and start your collection.

The International Connection: Twilight Masquerade

For fans outside of Japan, it is important to note that the Mask of Change set is the Japanese equivalent of the English-language set Twilight Masquerade. The Japanese version, Mask of Change, combines with the Crimson Haze set to form the Twilight Masquerade expansion for Western markets. This makes the Japanese Mask of Change set a unique and valuable acquisition for collectors who want to experience the cards in their original form, with distinct Japanese text and artwork. Many of these cards are never released in Western markets, giving your collection a rare and distinctive edge.

When you purchase Mask of Change products from authorized distributors, you are guaranteed factory-sealed, authentic cards that are fully recognized by major grading companies including PSA, CGC, and Beckett.
